Delivery of mobile Tactical Air Navigation System TACAN 2010

In 2016-2019, Siltec executed a contract for the supply of six mobile TACAN 2010 manufactured by the MOOG concern. The devices were installed and implemented to work at 6 airports of the Polish Air Force.

TACAN 2010 is a new generation Tactical Air Navigation System that provides properly equipped aircraft with angular and distance information to beacons.

The system is dedicated for automatic measurement of azimuth and distance of the aircraft from the place of development of the system. In cooperation with aircraft on-board equipment, the system ensures continuous transmission to the pilot of the location of the aircraft position in polar coordinates (azimuth, distance) and providing the recognition signal to aircraft.
